Founded in 1992, Ningbo Superior Machinery Co., Ltd has evolved from a workshop-like business that produced simple single screws and barrels of extruders with a few simple lathes into an ISO 9001:2008 certificated modern enterprise that covers an area of nearly 20,000 square meters, and has established dozens of cutting-edge production lines, heat treating, hardening & tempering, nitriding, centrifugal casting, vacuum sintering, alloy spray welding as well as physical & chemical labs with state-of-the-art testing equipments and means for the analysis of nitriding penetration, properties, metallographic phase, hardness, torque, tension, straightness and roughness etc.

In 2009, Superior Machinery successfully developed the nickle-based alloy barrels and coated screws with advanced vacuum sintering technology, which signified a significant leap forward in our efforts to raise our products to world-class level and makes a breakout in the Chinese plastic field.

Specifications of our Ni-based bimetallic barrel:

Basic Material for body: superior pre-hardening material 4140

Alloy powder: nickle-based self-melting alloy powder from American Wall Colmonoy Corporation

Processing: vacuum sintering cladding

Hardness: 56-60 HRC

Service life: 3~6 times than bimetallic barrels processed by high temperature centrifugal casting

Application: halogen-free plastic, the high abrasion, corrosion materials with high fiber, carbon fiber, mineral fiber, ceramic, magnetic powder, metal powder etc.

Advantage: more stable molecular structure, higher density of the alloy power than common bimetallic barrels.
